But maybe this is right and that the only simple solution is to buy a full-pay version of SilkyPix, assuming that this version will correct for every lens. This would be ridiculous, as one would need a new free version with every new Panasonic lens. I posted a question on this on another site and found out to my dismay that the free versions of SilkyPix may not correct for lens distortion or chromatic aberration except for the versions packaged with the camera and even on those versions only for lenses the came with the camera. So far, so good.īut I recently became unsure whether the SilkyPix version I had was automatically correcting for lens distortion and chromatic aberration based on the data that the camera embeds in the RAW files (and applies to in-camera JPEGs). Just downloaded and have begun to use SilkyPix Developer Studio 3.0 SE to process photos from my Panasonic G1 camera.
